Tango is more than just a dance!

It comes into your life as a simple interest, develops into a nice hobby, slowly grows into an obsession... and gradually becomes your lifestyle...

Tango is not just a combination of pretty steps... it is a bouquet of human emotions - passion, anger, happiness, desire, lust, jealousy, love... interpreted uniquely by each individual person... and expressed on the dance floor...

Our vocabulary is rather limited... there is only so much that you can say in words... You can write pages and pages of romantic letters to the woman that you love, and still have a hard time expressing your true feelings... but a single touch, a sole motion on the dance floor can let her know so much in a single moment! Tango allows you to communicate your feelings and emotions much stronger... you are happy - you dance one way... you are sad or angry - you dance another way! The steps and moves that seem to be the same will come out differently depending on how you feel at that particular moment, what music you are dancing to, and who you are dancing with... Precisely because of that no Tango is ever the same! Every dance is always unique... it is pure improvisation! You may know the steps in your head... but your heart tells you where to move.

Tango brings together people from all walks of life... and erases their differences! It does not matter how old you are... it does not matter who you are or what you do for a living... all that matters is that you want to dance... When You are on the dance floor... nothing else exists around you… You surrender to the music and let it move you... it gets deep inside your heart and your soul, engulfs you completely... captivates you...

Tango is not just a dance... it is a lifestyle... it is distinctive, timeless and everlasting... It spans through decades, continents, nations and people! Tango is a unique culture, rich with history, thrilling and controversial, passionate and mysterious... And with every single song, with every single dance it draws you to it stronger and stronger and makes you want to be part of it more and more...

"كان نفسى نفسى أناديلك يا حبيبتى...
كان نفسى أناديلك و ناديته...
كان نفسى أناديلك...أشكيلك... أسمع منك... أبكيلك...
كان نفسى أنوّرلك قمرى ، و أعمللك بإيديّا الشاى....

Different tunes, same melody..

LoL at this life..!
That song got some memories. Have heard it long ago in one trip keda after a friend asked to. Now, I no longer see this friend and didn’t remember the song for a very long time, until yesterday!
I was wondering in my tangle of musical pieces on my PC, I usually do not know what is there. I just click and download without knowing exactly whats there. And sometimes I forget the CD for hell of time, and discover it by a chance keda, or even forget all about it, and re-download it another time unaware it exists aslan :D

SO, was listening to “Buddha Bar” collection, when I heard this version of “Comme toi”.. searced abit more to find another one called “Comme toi” on my PC by Tina Arina.. while the one my friend told me about is “Calling you” by Grace Deep…
And the three of them are sung in Arabic, English and French..

I do not know which one is better for you.. however, I reckon the 3 of them worth listening..
Enjoy and tell me what you think ;)

Ps: just did some search keda, and found yet another “male” version for "comme toi" by “Jean Jacques Goldman”

A Love Song...

This song doesn't relate at all to anything I've experienced.. I don't even think that such an experience even exists, it just gives me hope. I mean the lyricist must've gotten the idea from something/someone!

I completely love it... Its Mohammad Abdul-Mottaleb's song 7abbeitak! I mean the music, is very harmonic and there's so much passion in his voice... I wonder how it feels to feel like that about a person, or even just sing it.

Here you go!

Suzanne Vega

Suzanne Vega, an ongoing performer from the 80's. She's got a very interesting voice and a unique sense of lyrics and music..

Her best known tracks are Tom's Diner and Caramel.. My personal favorites are Luka and Left of Center

Suzanne Vega also has shown interest in several humanitarian events like the"Save Dar fur Coalition ".

Her most famous albums are Solitude Standing, Suzanne Vega and Retrospective (the very best of Suzanne Vega)
